Diann has had a deep and abiding love for nature, wild flowers, herbs and healing since she was a little girl. She comes from a family of Doctors and Nurses on both her parents sides for over three generations. She has been a practising psychiatric nurse for almost thirty years having trained in the UK. She returned to Ireland in 1999 to take up an apprenticeship with famous author and folk herbalist Judith Hoad in her home in Donegal. She has run workshops, taught at night school and facilitated wild flower walks and herbal preparation workshops for many years.
In 2013 she discovered the Irish School of Herbal Medicine and following her heart decided to take her passion to another level and to build upon her existing knowledge and has held a licence to practice both Iridology and Herbal medicine since 2017. She also holds a diploma in nutrition.
Diann has a longstanding love of teaching and has taught in her capacity as a nurse, an eating disorder practitioner and herbalist. Having gained her post graduate in Adult and Community Education from Maynooth in 2003 she has continued to deepen her role as a community herbal educator. Diann is also a proud member of Tree Sisters, a women's organisation committed to restoration of our tropical forests as a collective expression of planetary restoration.
